Supply Management

Certificate Program

The California State University, East Bay Certificate in Supply Management equips procurement professionals with the up-to-date skills and knowledge necessary to meet both the tactical and strategic demands of their work.

Our Supply Management Certificate Program offers students three certificate options: Basic, Advanced, and Executive. All are approved by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). And as all courses are rotated between two East Bay locations (Hayward and Oakland), interested students can choose whichever one is most convenient.

The Basic Program is an excellent option for professionals who either have little experience or formal education in the Supply Management field or would like a review or additional coursework in certain key subjects. The Basic Seminars address the fundamentals of purchasing and topics such as materials management, inventory and planning, and contract administration.

On the other hand, professionals with some experience in the field or those who have already earned a Basic Certificate will want to take advantage of the Advanced Program, with seminars that cover areas such as procurement performance measurement, purchasing law, strategic sourcing, and computerized forecasting.

And for those who seek the most comprehensive knowledge and training we offer, the Executive Certificate Program encompasses all available Basic and Advanced Seminars.

Through a three-module study series (one per quarter), Cal State East Bay also helps procurement professionals prepare for the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Examination.
