This course will examine the content and organization of drawings and specifications to expedite coordinated information retrieval as you manage or build a project. Coursework focuses on the interrelationships between drawing views, details and specifications; and between architectural and engineering disciplines (structural/mechanical/plumbing/electrical). Students will work ¿hands on¿ with drawings and specifications used to build a small commercial project. We will survey General and Special Conditions; and common contract documents utilized during the bid and construction observation phases of a project. Students will be introduced to the role of the Architect/Engineer as an integral member of the project delivery team.
