This course introduces students to the day-to-day onsite construction management process for commercial and public works construction as practiced in the real world of Construction Management and Site Administration. Taught in a practical, thorough, and concise format, the primary focus will be on roles and responsibilities of the various parties such as the owner, facility manager, construction manager, architect, engineer, contractor, project manager, and the job-site superintendent regarding the process of planning, monitoring, and controlling the work. Emphasis will be placed on practical approaches and management techniques to control time, cost, quality, and safety. There are no prerequisites for this course and students who are new to the Construction Management may enroll in this course.

This course takes place via Zoom on Mondays for 8 weeks, starting on 1/27 and ending on 3/17. A Zoom link will be sent to registered students via email prior to the first class meeting. Course materials will be available to students on Canvas. This course is open to new and continuing students in the Construction Management program.
