Through this interactive course, human resource professionals will obtain a basic familiarity with immigration principals as they apply to employing foreign nationals. Students will learn the following concepts through case studies and role-playing activities: *Instructing managers with regard to the interview process with foreign national candidates *Implementing sound legal company policies relating to immigration such as I-9 retention, maintenance of public access files for government audits, and permanent residency sponsorship *Mastering fundamental legal concepts such as the "alphabet soup" of non-immigrant visas and de-mystifying the permanent residency process for foreign national employees

This course will take place fully online, asynchronous (no scheduled meeting time). The students may move through the course materials via Canvas at their own pace. There are 6 hours of coursework videos, etc. to complete during the scheduled dates, March 10 - March 16, 2025. (starting Monday and ending on Sunday at 11:59pm).
