Gain a strong foundation for managing nonprofit financial activities. After completing this course you will have an understanding of financial objectives by examining the changing and often competing needs, obligations and expectations at various stages of organizational development; know the fundamentals of the fiscal cycle; budgets, accounting, reports and analyses; have an overview of roles, responsibilities, systems and standards for achieving multiple objectives, assuring fiscal accountability and communicating financial information effectively. Participate in case studies examining day-to-day realities of financial management with respect to funding sources, personnel, vendors, banks and regulatory agencies.
