Want to learn how to develop a program from scratch? Enhance or expand an existing program? Manage a program? If so, this is the class for you. We will delve into how to conduct feasibility research to determine whether/how the community needs the program or expansion and, if it does, who would benefit most, what the competition looks like, and whether your organization has what it takes to make it a success. Once a Go decision is made, the next steps in designing and creating the program will be discussed, including identifying the target population and the specific ways it will benefit, as well as budgeting, staffing, and other aspects of implementation planning. Finally, we will discuss the key components of program management and strategies to ensure that new or expanded programs are managed to outcomes.
