Nonprofit Consulting

  • Class Number: 1406
  • Units: 0.6
  • Fee: $160.00

This hands-on workshop will share some considerations for building a nonprofit consulting practice. In our first meeting, we'll look at your foundation as a consultant: The value you bring, people you might serve, and how you might serve them. Meeting 2 will explore marketing, finances, and networking. In order to be prepared for the course, you should bring some ideas about the kind of consulting you would like to do, who you might serve and the value you might add. We'll use individual exercises, small group work and class reflection to build on and deepen those ideas. Throughout, we'll discuss the challenges of being a consultant and practices that could contribute to your success. We will be meeting on Zoom and using Google Slides or Documents together so you should be comfortable using these technologies.
