A survey course examining the history, role and purpose of the nonprofit sector in society. We will spend time evaluating the interrelationship between the nonprofit sector and the government and business sectors. Attention will also be paid to the democracy producing values of the nonprofit sector. Course content will also include an overview of the nonprofit sector, as well as an overview of the mechanics at starting a nonprofit organization.

This class is offered in the online synchronous format with 2 live required Zoom class meetings taking place on 10/28 and 10/29 from 5-8 pm. The Zoom information will be posted to Canvas within 3 days of the scheduled start date of the course.
