Using Data to Measure Equitable Impact

  • Class Number: 3372
  • Units: 0.6
  • Fee: $160.00

This course will help leaders understand the key role data and evaluation plays in fulfilling equitable impact on the communities they serve. Students will gain a foundational understanding of how data can be a powerful tool for bridging social and racial inequities, while also having the risk of perpetuating them. The course will cover key principles and strategies for planning and implementing evaluations that reflect core values of equity and inclusivity, identify where inequities persist, measure successes in equitable impact, and use data to inform program decision-making. Students will review case studies of evaluation plans and impact reports, identify ways in which the nonprofit did or did not hold themselves accountable to equitable impact, and identify strategies to address gaps. This course is designed for professionals who will be in a position where they will influence decisions on program evaluation and assessing impact, and is ideal for those that have placed equity as core to their mission.
