This course focuses on why teaching writing is an essential skill for life, and gives theory and practical steps to implement the six traits of writing in any classroom. The course is geared primarily for professionals working with children and youth in any academic area. Strongly Recommended Preparation: Degree, minor or certificate in PK-12 education/teaching. Credit Restrictions: Student must consult with his/her school district and/or state licensing agency to verify if this course offering will meet his/her district and/or state requirements for salary/advancement and/or state certificate re-licensure. Grading: A-F grading only.
