Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is an interactive distance learning course designed to help you achieve a better understanding of ADHD and provide intervention strategies to facilitate positive student change. Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder provides information on the history of the disorder, accepted methods to assess and identify students with the disorder, and various treatment methods that are currently being used to treat the disorder. The course helps you through the referral process when you feel a student needs services beyond what you are capable of or comfortable providing in your classroom environment. This course also lists resources for both teachers and parents who would like more help or information about ADHD. Credit Restrictions: Students must consult with the school district and/or state licensing agency to verify if these course offerings will meet his/her district and/or state requirements for salary advancement and/or state certificate re-licensure. Repeatability: May be repeated for a maximum of 4 semester units. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: TED 7290.
