Teachers will develop the conceptual and technical skills needed to identify educational goals, and implement meaningful instructional strategies, for effective learning by students with special needs. The focus is on assessment for instructional programming, covering procedures for designing or selecting, administering, and interpreting a variety of informal assessment measures typically used in the academic and social skills areas. Appropriate presentation of assessment information to parents and teachers also is addressed. Credit Restrictions: Students must consult with the school district and/or state licensing agency to verify if these course offerings will meet his/her district and/or state requirements for salary advancement and/or state certificate re-licensure. Repeatability: May be repeated for a maximum of 4 semester units. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: TED 7306.
