During the first half of this two-semester, continuing course, you will learn the overall structure of a civil law suit, including pre- and post-litigation considerations. You will prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents, and become familiar with discovery method and trial preparation. Through in-class demonstration and hands-on experience, you will be instructed on the use of the legal software, Legal Solutions. These courses stress the real-world work done by paralegals to assist attorneys in processing civil cases to their completion. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 6 units. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: POSC 7012.
