This course covers how a legal office functions, billing and financial management, typical personnel classifications in law firms, law office files and records management, and essential skills needed to manage a law office. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 6 units. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: POSC 7080.

This is an elective course in the CSUEB Paralegal Studies certificate program. Students seeking the Certificate of Completion must complete 1 paralegal elective during their time in the Paralegal Studies program. This is an online asynchronous course with no required Zoom class meetings. Course materials will begin to be available to students on June 1, 2026 and the course will end on August 1, 2026. This is not a self-paced course and students will have assignments with deadlines throughout the 8-week class and will be required to be active in the CSUEB Canvas course. Students holding a BA/BS from CSUEB should enroll in this course using the Forever Pioneer Registration Form to receive a discount on the course fee.
