This course explores current law firm computer applications in the areas of document creation, database management, litigation support and Internet research. Emphasis will be on database, spreadsheet, word processing and other applications as they are used to support paralegal functions. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 6 units. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: POSC 7040.

Notes:

This is a required course in the Paralegal Studies program. Students can enroll in this class if they have completed POSC 801, 802, 804, and 805. This section is offered in the online synchronous format with live required Zoom class meetings taking place starting 8/18 and ending on 10/6. The Zoom information will be available to enrolled students in Canvas within 3 days of the scheduled start date of the class.

Notes:

This is a required course for the Paralegal Studies program. Students must have completed POSC 801, 802, 804, and 805 to be able to enroll in this course. This section is offered in the online asynchronous format with no required live Zoom class meetings. This course will take place online through Canvas (the course will open in Canvas on 8/17 and close on 10/10). This is not a self-paced online course. Students must abide by the assignment deadlines and exam times set forth by the instructor in Canvas.
