Become familiar with the various forms of doing business, such as: proprietorship, partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, corporation, nonprofit, and professional corporation. The focus of this course is on gathering information from clients, identifying needs and information best suited to the situation, identifying relevant forms, obtaining sample forms and modifying them as appropriate, and preparing all necessary forms and agreements. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 6 units. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: POSC 7004.

ELECTIVE COURSE. Student who wish to receive the Paralegal Studies Certificate of Completion must complete at least one elective course in additional to all of the required courses in the CSUEB Paralegal Studies program. This course is offered in the online synchronous format with live required Zoom class meetings taking place on Wednesday starting October 14 and ending on December 16 (no meetings on 11/11 and 11/25). The Zoom information will be available in Canvas within 3 days of the scheduled start date of the course.
