This course provides an overview of immigration law with an emphasis on immigration procedure in the following areas: family and employment visas, political asylum, labor certificate, and non-immigration visas. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 6 units. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: POSC 7029.

ELECTIVE COURSE. Students seeking the Paralegal Studies Certificate of Completion must complete at least one elective course in additional to all of the required courses in the Paralegal Studies program. This course is offered in the online synchronous format with live required Zoom class meetings on Tuesdays starting on 10/13 and ending on 12/8 (no meeting on 11/24). The Zoom information will be available on Canvas within 3 days of the scheduled first day of the class.
