Sport mega-events such as the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Champions League are presented in terms of their spectacular pageantry, athletic excellence, and global harmony. Yet, they also raise concerns about human rights, social benefit, and inclusion. Students will thus examine sport mega events in order to understand how they impact citizens in host nations and cities. Grading: A-F grading only.
