This course examines hot topics in exercise training and performance. Topics include current research findings and insights on the role of: nutrition and performance, protein and carbohydrate ingestion/supplementation in exercise and performance, hydration and performance, training the gut for performance, high intensity interval training to enhance endurance performance, speeding recovery from exercise, ergogenic aids for enhanced training and performance, diabetes and competition, the female triad, environmental issues and performance, youth resistance training, and the prevention and treatment of delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS). Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: KIN 7818.
