Principles of Trauma for Educators

This course involves the study of the field of Trauma using the leading research to understand brain functioning, the types of trauma, symptoms and strategies for supporting children with trauma in the classroom including mindfulness practice with the Mindful Life program. Grading: A-F grading only.
Notes:
Students enrolling in EPSY 855 must also enroll in the 1 unit EPSY 856 class starting October 13, 2026. After completing EPSY 855 and 856 in February 2027, students will enrolled in EPSY 857 and 858, taking place from March 2027 to July 2027 to complete the program.
