This seminar is designed to expand and improve the practical skills of those responsible for employee's health and safety, and develop safe expertise in health and safety strategies. Participants will examine critical occupational health and safety issues of private business, industry and government pertaining to SB-198, Corporate Liability Act, Cal/OSHA and Federal OSHA. Criminal considerations, supervisors' and managers' responsibilities, and an introduction to the workers' compensation system and legal liability will also be covered.
This course will take place fully online and students may move through the course material at their own pace from September 21, 2020 to September 27, 2020. Blackboard is Cal State East Bay's online learning management system. It is a tool that allows faculty to add materials and resources for students to access electronically.
