In this interactive, one-day workshop, you will learn: how to assist people to match high challenges and high skills at work, how to align work with personal values, how to understand what motivates others, the value of internal motivation, how to become internally motivated, why gimmicks as rewards don't last long and what to replace them with, why most motivational programs are backwards and don't work, why rewards and punishments are not good long-term motivators, how to design and implement alternatives to rewards and punishments, how to establish a system to teach others to motivate themselves, how to create meaning and fulfillment at work, and how to create an organizational system which encourages growth and development. Approved for six HRCI recertification hours.

This course will take place fully online, asynchronous (no scheduled meeting time). The students may move through the course materials via Canvas at their own pace. There are 6 hours of coursework videos, etc. to complete during the scheduled dates, Apr 15, 2024 - Apr 21, 2024 (starting Monday and ending on Sunday at 11:59pm).
